Holidays

·         Earliest day on which Columbus Day can fall (Most states celebrate Columbus Day as an official state holiday, though many mark it as a "Day of Observance" or "Recognition" and three do not recognize it at all. Most states (including states where it's not a legal holiday) close schools and other state services, while others operate as normal.)

  2. I've found another holiday in the USA and wold like to share it with you!
Columbus Day is a U.S. holiday that commemorates the landing of Christopher Columbus in the New World on October 12, 1492. It was unofficially celebrated in a number of cities and states as early as the 18th century but did not become a federal holiday until the 1937. For many, the holiday is a way of both honoring Columbus' achievements and celebrating Italian-American heritage. Throughout its history, Columbus Day and the man who inspired it have generated controversy, and many alternatives to the holiday have appeared in recent years.
Although in most of the other American countries Columbus Day is celebrated on October 12, in the United States it is celebrated on the second Monday in October.

  3. Based on 'Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats' and other poems by T.S. Eliot, the musical takes place in a junkyard where the local cats are auditioning to be chosen by their leader, Old Deuteronomy, to journey to the Heavyside Lair to be reborn. In the end, the former glamour cat, Grizabella - turned disheveled outcast is chosen by Deuteronomy to receive the prized additional life.

  4. Some facts about the failure of the Franklin National Bank.
Franklin National Bank is one of the twentieth largest bank in the United States. The failure of the Franklin National Bank in 1974 led to a crisis of confidence that brought the international banking system dangerously close to disaster. Franklin's failure forced US regulatory authorities to create new ways to prevent an international banking crisis, and served as a catalyst for later efforts to bring international banking under public management.
