December 16

National Chocolate Covered Anything Day.

Today is National Chocolate Covered Anything Day. This is a day for all “chocolaholics”!  There are no too many details about a history of National Chocolate Covered Anything Day apart from the fact that you can celebrate the day in December, a month which is well known for days dedicated to quirky food items.  It also was revealed that the Chocolate Covered Anything Day has been formulated by a candy or a confectionary company initially.  But whatever be the history behind it, the day has turned out to be a hit especially among the chocolate addicts.Pouring liquid chocolate over anything what you want (raisins, nuts and waffles) and dipping a variety of berries into a chocolate is a common way of celebrating the national chocolate covered anything day.

  2. The Boston Tea Party (referred to in its time simply as "the destruction of the tea" or by other informal names and so named until half a century later,[2]) was a political protest by the Sons of Liberty in Boston, a city in the British colony of Massachusetts, against the tax policy of the British government and the East India Company that controlled all the tea imported into the colonies. On December 16, 1773, after officials in Boston refused to return three shiploads of taxed tea to Britain, a group of colonists boarded the ships and destroyed the tea by throwing it into Boston Harbor. The incident remains an iconic event of American history, and other political protests often refer to it.

  5. Philip Kindred Dick (December 16, 1928 – March 2, 1982) was an American novelist, short story writer and essayist whose published work is almost entirely in the science fiction genre. Dick explored sociological, political and metaphysical themes in novels dominated by monopolistic corporations, authoritarian governments, and altered states. In his later works Dick's thematic focus strongly reflected his personal interest in metaphysics and theology. He often drew upon his own life experiences in addressing the nature of drug abuse, paranoia, schizophrenia, and transcendental experiences in novels such as A Scanner Darkly and VALIS.

Indulge in chocolate covered waffles for breakfast, chocolate covered crepes for lunch, chocolate covered pretzels for a snack, and chocolate covered strawberries for dessert! There are many different types of chocolate that you can use to top your food: sweetened, unsweetened, bittersweet, semisweet, milk chocolate, white chocolate, dark chocolate, cocoa, and more. Fun fact: Cacao beans, the main ingredient in chocolate, were so valuable in the ancient Mayan and Aztec civilizations that they were used as currency to pay for commodities and taxes!
