Vanessa Lynn Williams was born on the 18th of March in 1963. She is an American singer, actress, producer and former fashion model.
Williams's first major film role was as the star of the feature film “Eraser” in 1996. She also starred in the movies “Soul Food”, “Dance with Me”, “The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland”, “Shaft” and “Johnson Family Vacation”. From 2006 to 2010, she played the role of the scheming, self-absorbed diva and former supermodel Wilhelmina Slater in the ABC comedy series “Ugly Betty”, for which she received three Emmy Awards nominations. In 2009, Williams released her eighth studio album, “The Real Thing”. From 2010 to 2012, she starred in “Desperate Housewives” as spoiled rich woman Renee Perry. She starred in the supernatural drama series “666 Park Avenue”.
Collins started acting at the age of two in the BBC series “Growing Pains”. As a teenager, Collins wrote a column (titled NY Confidential) for the British magazine “Elle Girl”. She has also written for “Seventeen”, “Teen Vogue”, and the “Los Angeles Times” magazines. She was picked by Spain's Glamour magazine in 2008 as their "International model of the year" and appeared on the magazine's cover in August 2009. Collins covered the 2008 US Presidential campaign as a host on the Nickelodeon show Kids Pick the President. She won a 2008 Young Hollywood Award for "Newest Red Carpet Correspondent". She has appeared in two episodes of the television show “90210”, including the 2008–2009 season finale. Collins was in the 2009 film “The Blind Side” as Collins Tuohy, the daughter of Sandra Bullock's character Leigh Anne Tuohy. She played the warrior priest's daughter Lucy in the thriller “Priest”.
MTV Networks' NextMovie.com named her one of the "Breakout Stars to Watch for in 2011". She co-starred in the 2011 action film “Abduction” with Taylor Lautner. Collins played Snow White in “Mirror Mirror”, an adaptation of the Snow White fairytale, co-starring Julia Roberts.
Dana Elaine Owens (born March 18, 1970), better known by her stage name Queen Latifah, is an American singer-songwriter, rapper, model, comedienne, and actress. Her work in music, film, and television has earned her a Golden Globe award, two Screen Actors Guild Awards, two Image Awards, a Grammy Award, six additional Grammy nominations, an Emmy Award nomination and an Academy Award nomination.

Williams is most often referenced and publicly recognized simply as "Vanessa Williams". There is, however, occasional confusion with similarly named actress Vanessa A. Williams, who is just two months younger.
