Barry Bostwick
Barry Knapp Bostwick (born February 24, 1945) is a Tony Award winning American actor of stage and screen. He is known for playing Brad Majors in the 1975 cult classic The Rocky Horror Picture Show, replacing Peter Scolari as Mr. Tyler in the sitcom What I Like About You, and playing mayor Randall Winston in the sitcom Spin City. He has also had considerable fame in musical theater.
His early and personal life
ReplyDeleteBostwick was born in San Mateo, California. He is the son of Elizabeth "Betty" (née Defendorf), a housewife, and Henry "Bud" Bostwick, a city planner and actor. His only sibling, Henry "Pete" Bostwick, was killed in a car accident on July 20, 1973. Bostwick attended San Diego's United States International University in 1967, majoring in acting, got his start on the Hillbarn Theatre stage now located in Foster City, and worked for a time as a circus performer. He also attended NYU's Graduate Acting Program, graduating in 1968.
Bostwick married Stacey Nelkin in 1987, but they were divorced in 1991. Bostwick married his second wife Sherri Ellen Jenkins in 1994 and has two children, Brian and Chelsea. He filed for divorce in June 2009. In 1997, Bostwick was diagnosed with prostate cancer, and 10 days later had his prostate removed. In 2004, he won the Gilda Radner Courage Award from the Roswell Park Cancer Institute.

Madison L. Hubbell (born February 24, 1991) is an American ice dancer. She competed with her brother Keiffer Hubbell from 2001 to 2011. They are the 2010 Four Continents bronze medalists, two-time (2009, 2011) U.S. pewter medalists and 2006–2007 Junior Grand Prix Final champions. With current partner Zachary Donohue, she is the 2012 U.S. bronze medalist.
ReplyDeleteAugust William Derleth (February 24, 1909 – July 4, 1971) was an American writer and anthologist. Though best remembered as the first publisher of the writings of H. P. Lovecraft, and for his own contributions to the so-called Cthulhu Mythos genre of horror, as well as his founding of the publisher Arkham House (which did much to bring supernatural fiction into print in hardcover in the US that had only been readily available in the UK), Derleth was a leading American regional writer of his day, as well as prolific in several other genres, including historical fiction, poetry, detective fiction, science fiction and biography.
ReplyDeleteA 1938 Guggenheim Fellow, Derleth considered his most serious work to be the ambitious Sac Prairie Saga, a series of fiction, historical fiction, poetry, and non-fiction naturalist works designed to memorialize life in the Wisconsin he knew. Derleth can also be considered a pioneering naturalist and conservationist in his writing.

Madison Hubbell started skating at age 5. She started ice dancing at age eight, skating with first partner Nicholas Donahue for one year
Kristin Landen Davis also listed as Kristin Lee Davis was born on February 24 in 1965. She is an American actress. She first rose to prominence and achieved fame for playing the role of Brooke Armstrong on Melrose Place and went on to achieve greater success as Charlotte York Goldenblatt on HBO's Sex and the City.
